LEEK INK
Leek sugar based ink
To carry out the leek ink we use the residual part, that is the green part of the leek. First of all, it has to cut the leftover and put these pieces to boil during only 4 minutes, because the leek peel is soften than the other vegetables or fruits. After boil, it has to crush (it has to be crashed as many times as we need, because the leek peel have lots of threads, and we have to eliminate them for print the ink). Then it, we have to add sugar (we put a lot) and put in on fire to remove the water until it becomes thick. Leek ink needs a long process, because it has to be leaved one or two days in a flat surface in touch with the environment until the water disappears.
The resulting color of the leek ink is a very soft green color. It’s not accurate in the detail.
